The cleaning process can net great results in the appearance of your comics. Foreign matter and soiling can also damage your books longterm. A basic clean can remove light soiling and sometimes improve the gloss of the cover. Cleaning is also an important step prior to pressing to prevent indenting foreign material into the cover and potentially the entire book. So if you are submitting your comic for grading or looking to preserve the conditon of your comics in storage, a clean is a very important step in the process.
